SAFE FEEDING

This course is designed for parents or caregivers with typically developing babies between 3-6 months of age. (The follow-along feeding portion begins when the child is 6 months of age.)

In 29 bite-sized videos, you will learn:

• the feeding readiness signs
• all 10 of my safe feeding strategies
• a simple step-by-step method to feed your child solids
• how to help your child establish a healthy relationship with food from the first bite
• how to make the feeding process simple and enjoyable 
• what to look out for to ensure your child is eating safely
• what to do in the event of an unsuccessful swallow
• knowledge that will increase your confidence while reducing your anxiety around mealtimes
• 12 monthly Q&A call with Cassie the SLP to get support and your questions answered

This course is for general education purposes only. Feeding therapy falls under the umbrella term of all things targeted in speech therapy (including stuttering, language deficits, cognitive deficits, speech sounds disorders, and swallowing). It is not speech therapy and it is not feeding therapy. Follow all directives given by your child's pediatrician. Contact your child's pediatrician and seek out a local Speech-Language Pathologist to request a feeding evaluation if you have concerns about your child's feeding skills.
